Get the mitigation team onsite, with the right equipment
And when you have a flood, we bring in a water mitigation team. A mitigation team will bring in fans and dehumidifiers, sucking and drying all the water. The goal is to minimize any type of damage to your property, and getting that equipment in there very quickly is important. It allows to dry out stuff and not have to do too much dehumidifying.
Use a moisture meter when dealing with flood
This moisture meter goes against drywall and carpet, it can go against anything.
After the drying equipment works, you are going to test it. Now, if it goes under the amount that states it is still moist, you don’t have to cut it out. But if it does, then you have to remove and replace it.
This moisture meter determines what is wet and what doesn’t need to be cut out. This enables you to cause minimal issues with your tenants. If the moisture meter results indicate that everything is dry, you don’t have to worry about it anymore. But you do have to make sure because otherwise if there is moistness and you do need to cut it out, you can have mold growth which can mean sickness for people. So you never want that for your residents.
Our commitment
So if you or anyone else you know is looking for a proactive property manager that can go the next step to help you in determining and dealing with the cause of floods, what is still moist and what needs to be cut out, please think of Green Ocean Property Management: where you get more than a property manager, you get peace of mind.
